Will Powe Go?

Alex - interesting possibilities. I haven't seen
Wallace in action, so I'm wondering: are you basing
your thoughts on having watched him in college? Summer
league?

My prognosis is that Wallace is a keeper, and Batista
will be cut. I have to
disagree, btw, that Wallace is one-dimensional - he's
got the game. He's in
the big SF mold we dreamed about for a long time. He's
got the D game, he's
got the range, he's got terrific footwork, he's got
the speed.

Batista on the other hand is a prospect. He's a
year-two away, and Ray has
to do some REALLY serious work on him. Powe is for
real - he can give you
some solid minutes, and will not screw thing up. IMO -
this team does not
have this luxury of babysitting that many players
anymore. Big Baby and
Pruitt will go to the DL, Wallace as well. We'll have
12 active vets, 1
advanced prospect (IMO - Wallace), 2 DL's. Batista and
Manuel are on the way
out.
