I thought they looked pretty good. KG was great. We knew that. He spent
more time in the post than he has in recent years, which is a good
thing. Pierce was very good. The Ray Allen thing bears watching. Can he
adjust to being the third wheel? That's what he seems to be with this
team. He'll get open shots, but they're in a different rhythm than he's
accustomed to seeing. The balance would feel better if he were the sixth
man, but I don't think we'll see that anytime soon.

Rondo was pretty good, but needs to look to penetrate more often. Perk
was solid. Eddie House was very good off the bench - he's a perfect 15
mpg gunner, but he's not a point guard. Posey was OK.

Everyone is going to think I'm nuts, but I'd love to see us start the
game with KG at center, Scal at PF, Posey at SF, Pierce at SG and Rondo
at PG. That just feels like a really balanced group. Then you bring Ray
Allen, Perk, Tony Allen and House off the bench. That gives Ray a chance
to come in as the designated scorer and Perk a chance to come in when
the game has loosened up and they aren't calling every foul. It also
gives KG even more room to operate in the post. It also makes KG the
anchor of the defense. I don't know. Right now, that starting unit just
feels like it's wasting Ray Allen's talents.
