I didn't get to see the game but glad to hear House played well.  I was
a big fan of the signing.  He's no point guard but he is pure energy and
can shoot lights out when he is on a streak.

Curious how his defense looked.

OK, here it goes:

Positive:

1. There is always not one - but 2 players having wide open looks.
Toronto
weak side was as naked as it gets, even without having a big range Rondo
should be able to take it to the rim.

2. Ray either always had an easy drive, or wide open look. Paul and KG
were
always double-teamed - that's an answer to how teams want to play us
clogging the middle with overplaying the lane or the post. Does it smell
like a 30 ppg for Ray this season?..

3. Interesting sets with Paul posting up. Nothing really new - but the
mismatches after he gets doubled.

4. Easy win on the boards - very impressive.

Negative:

1. Rondo does not feel comfortable yet - big difference the way he
played
the end of the last season and now. He'll get over, but House is a
better
fit offensively - and not just because his range but simplified role
(spot-up shooter vs ball-handler) and better understanding of his
position
in the set.

2. Perk better be ready working on the weak side. Not there yet as well.

3. Spacing was poor. Just shows that the starting 5 has a long way to
go.
Both KG and Paul played their usual game (not clear if that's a bad sign
of
good - especially talking about Paul), there rest of struggled because
don't
have a good feel for the positioning.

4. D is VERY shaky to say the least. Communication is nowhere to be
found.
That's the most critical part - I'd give D+ at the most, and only
because of
the effort. We need to get at least to B to win. Not worried about the
offence by a bit - clearly we'll see the point average well above 100
points
a game. But can we hold anyone below 100?..

5. Bench: except of House and few good D stops by Posey saw nothing
deserving any attention. We clearly need a vet big - Powe is good, but
not
good enough. Will Pollard be able to deliver that?..
