At least we'll be the most prepared, mentally, and physically tough team
after...what...wait...you mean...

Ummm....can anyone name one time Doc HASN'T cancelled practice on a
two-a-day? Good thing these guys have been together for years and don't
need any time to gel huh?

And before anybody brings it up, no, I don't believe a few two a days
are going to destroy the team's health and psyche in the long term. If
they did two a days for three weeks straight with no breaks, yeah that's
too much, but a week and a half? That's building a solid foundation.

A second practice cancellation should be a real reward (how about maybe
after a week of two a days you surprise the team after a particularly
hard practice - make it meaningful and gratifying?) - not par for the
course EVERY day where it becomes expected.

Boston Herald: The Celtics had a second practice scheduled for last
night, but Rivers decided to cancel it. Indicating earlier in the day
that he might, he said, "You know the old saying: You can't build Rome
in a day."
