UBUNTU!

I have to admit to being excited about Batista making this team. From what
little i've read/heard he sounds like he's a banger ready to make a
mini-leap into a legit NBA player -- albeit 9th man or so.

I disagree that his signing has anything to do with Pollard's health. I
think (a) we can ALWAYS use talented young big men and (b) Pollard's role
is as much to keep this team focused, yet light w/ his humor (which is a
not unimportant role during a long season) as it is to come in a bang
against opposing big men for 5-10 mins or so a game.

I'm worried though about Doc's comments that he hasn't tried House at
backup PG... i have no problem with House playing there. Not that he has
to just bring it up and hand off to Pierce, but IMO as a backup PG he
needs to break even... something I believe he can do. Just avoid
turnovers, keep the team running (or encourage them to) and hit open
jumpers. 15-18 mins a game he doen'st need to be the next Bob Cousy.

I have a feeling Rivers is going to make this all more complicated than it
needs to be in an attempt to show he's a good coach. buckle up.
