SNIP "Also, thought you might enjoy these -

< The Celtics were scheduled to practice twice yesterday, but the

second session (a walk-through at the team hotel) was canceled,

team spokesman Jeff Twiss said> - Globe 10/2

< There will be days where he {Tony Allen} will be sore, and then we'll

decide if he's just sore or if he's hurt." > - Doc

Typical Doc, eh?" - Egg

I had a nice chuckle. Nothing like furthering the body of evidence huh,
just remember, he's a former COY. I REALLY think he'd be a phenomenal
college coach at some mid-major as he and Pete Carroll are the same guy
in different sports (awesome with people, not so steady when it comes to
Xs and Os).

SNIP "GARDEN OF HOPE

by Peter Vecsey, NY Post Put Eddy Curry, Zach Randolph, Richardson,
Crawford and Marbury out there at one time and it's hard to fathom a
team being able to defend them. Having Lee and Renaldo Balkman and Jared
Jeffries and Malik Rose and Mardy Collins and

Nate Robinson in reserve makes the Knicks one of the deepest, if not the

smartest, or halfway decent defenders, teams in the league."

Halfway decent defenders is a stretch. Balkman is from the Walter
McCarty school of defense (if you LOOK like you're running around, you
MUST be defending well!), Jeffries hasn't had passion for
defense...well...ever, Rose is so past his prime he not even to the
level of "shell of his former self" and Nate Robinson is what 5'4"?
Every 5'4" guy in the league does one thing well and it isn't defend its
play offense.

I've never really paid much attention to Vecsey - not for his style or
anything, but he simply doesn't seem to understand the game of
basketball all that well.
