It was inevitable.
Sorry, we were never going 82-0. This isn't the Patriots here.
That said however, the snippet below (although kind of crass) actually
has a little merit, but only scratches the surface of some issues that
have risen over the past couple games that have hurt the Cs efficiency
on offense.
The reason for Ray Allen's ineffectiveness the past two games
especially? He's being asked to be a creator on offense. He's become
(gasp) Tony Allen of two years ago - pounding the ball on the dribble on
the outside for 10-15 seconds at a time before he drives baseline or
takes a shot with a hand in his face.
There's another part to this too though - it's Kevin Garnett being moved
exclusively to the low post instead of the high post. I could understand
it if they played high low with Perk setting picks for Garnett to get
switches, down on to the box more easily, etc, but it's been simply
Garnett going to the low post, getting doubled, leading to the above
paragraph.
The quick decisions, moving the ball aspect of the offense has stagnated
because of these two small changes. This doesn't mean they can't get
Garnett into the low post, but it should come out of movement.
Lastly, and I will place this 100% on Doc's shoulders...we're not
pushing the ball anymore. This may in fact go to the minutes argument.
Rondo, House and Allen were running early in the season, getting the
ball up the floor. We're not doing that now - we've become that walk it
up half court team.
We were going to lose some games. Despite the above issues it was still
a winnable ball game against the best team I've seen this year in the
NBA (no, I haven't seen SA or Pho yet). I still have great confidence
that these minor issues are fixable (even by Doc <g>).

Allen's shooting has gone down the toilet due to idiot coach Rivers
playing him over 40 minutes a game. Thats more than even - FleetAinge
