Celtics thoughts

Last night I was thinking "I'd sure like to watch tonight's game". So I
signed up for the NBA package on Directv.
An awful (they were tired) first half, bu they still kept close. The
defense has been very good so far, and Garnett seems to take an attitude
that the bench BETTER play well or they'll face his wrath. When was the
last time the final minutes guys were passing the ball around like that?
Even in the "great years" they didn't do that (I'm talking
Russell-Cousy-etc.). Oddly, NJ looked more tired by the end, but they
(NJ) impressed me with their whipping passes. They are a better team
than they've shown.
Since I haven't seen anyone remark on this, I'll mention it: in the
early games, one of the reasons the 3 played so much was that they kept
insisting they needed more time to gel. They wanted to play more minutes
to help bring this about. I suspect we'll see new combinations, now,
since they have gelled pretty well.
Finally, a contest for those who wanted to change their predictions (too
late!): Last year, we won 24 games. What do you predict our record will
be when we get our 25th win this year?
I'll start off with 25-7 (I know teams often slow down after great
starts, so I expect we will as well--I don't think we'll win at that
rate all season.)
