<They still find things to complain about and still find ways to
try and kill the joy of having a good basketball team in
Boston again.>
     - Shizz

I’m afraid we are on very different wavelengths concerning
the purpose of message boards.

Was your purpose in joining a Celt board only to hear the fluffy
and fun and none of the messy? Did you really think in such
a public forum you could blink facts because they were not to
your taste? Obviously none of us were born with a “How to”
manual on being lovable posters. Oh poor mortals how
we make this earth bitter for each other.

Yet I would guess that if every post here fit your criteria of only
repeating “Garnett is great,” “We are the best team in the league,”
“Posey and House looked terrific,” and “Pruitt and Powe and Big
Baby and Wallace have great potential” (following the rave reviews
for Moiso, Brandon Hunter, Banks, Reed, Gerald Green, Telfair,
O. Greene, etc.), this list, IMHO, would become as boring as
watching grass grow or a turtle navigate its way to the finish line
of the Boston Marathon.

Although we sneaked through with the Toronto victory, there’s
no reason why posters (i.e. Way Ray) should be considered
miserable for criticizing weaknesses in our game. Yet I’m not
surprised. It was ever thus ... even in a 24-win season.

As for those who were so teary-eyed with the dramatics displayed
at the introductory ceremony of the opening game, is this the NBA
or the WWE? Remember when we used to attend games to merely
see good pure basketball?
