Horrific Doesn't Adequately Describe Ford's Beat-Down Of Rondo...

- And Iverson is on the Docket.
- Well, if they are not going to use Davis at all,
despite the crying need for someone, anyone to
play backup center, they might as well trade Davis and
Scalabrine for Stoudamire, since the Celtics as
everyone points out (but which seems to elude Ainge's
mindset) desperately need a point guard.
- Or sign Earl Boykins.
- At least Perkins played better.
- Pierce, LOL is a knucklehead as always, but
with KG and Allen around, it's less of a detriment.
It's too bad they can't do a Pierce - Rondo - Tony
Allen for Kobe trade.
- And Ray Allen was more assertive. Fortunately
Pierce took a break from his hijinks to pass
him the ball.
- If you honestly appraise the Celtics, one has to
say, they have a great deal of dead weight on their
bench in Rusty Wallace, Powe, Pollard, Scalabrine,
Pruitt, and Davis too, since he's not going to see any
meaningful minutes. Sometime between now and the
trading deadline, Ainge has to cull the herd, and
bring in a veteran point and big man who can score.
- The Bucks could be a good trading partner for the
Celtics. They are going nowhere, can't defend, and
have a few big men to spare.
- Charlie Villanueva for instance, can rebound, score,
and pass, is 6-10 and cheaper to acquire than Channing
Fry.
- If the Knicks continue to crash and burn, will they
buy out Marbury? For all his flaws, he's much better
than anyone the Celtics have at PG at the moment,
Ainge has always liked him, and there's the past
association with KG.
- Would the Knicks be interested in a Rondo for David
Lee trade? They need a young PG and are stacked in the
frontcourt. Lee would be an amazing player with
KG, just what the Celtics desperately need.
