don't trade Pierce

I suppose I may be in the minority, but I'd prefer to keep Pierce and take
one more shot at it with him and Jefferson. I guess i don't see/agree with
the "build around Pierce" vs. "build around the youth" dichotomy.

IMO, our task is to add one more star level player to Pierce AND
Jefferson. I'd rather figure out ways to add a KG, JO, Gasol, even a Camby
to the core of Pierce and Jefferson and see what they can do. Even if we
"overpay" w/ 2 #1s, Rondo and Green -- you win in the NBA with talent at
the top. I think Ainge has shown that he can build depth/fill out a team
with picks in the late 1st and 2nd rounds.

It's generally agreed upon that the Bulls missed their chance this spring
to take some of their collection of young-un's and parlay them + PJ
Brown's contract into a guy like Gasol.

I just have to think that a package of (some combination of) #5, MIN's #1,
Green, Gomes, Wally, Perk, Rondo or West and Theo's expiring contract
could get us *1* all-star level player.

One guy i think would be a nice fit --- but don't think that short of a
3-way (which i don't have the energy to figure out) isn't available -- is
Lamar Odom.
