Stupid ESPN writer can't figure out the lottery

Obviously the writer of this ESPN article doesn't know
how the lottery works.
>But there was an obvious tension when Milwaukee
popped up at No. 6 because that meant that one of the
top teams was going to slide.
NO. As soon as Miwaukee popped up, it was clear that
*all three* of the top teams had slid. The Bucks slid
from the #3 spot to the #6 spot, meaning the #4, 5,
and 6 teams all had to move up to the top three.
Therefore, the #1, 2, 3 teams would have to fill the
4, 5, 6 spots in the draft. As soon as the Bucks came
up, it was guareteed that the Celtics would be picking
fifth. Once the Bucks were drawn, the only mystery
would be the order Prortland, Seattle and Atlanta
would be picking in the top 3.
>And then it came, the Celtics at No. 5. The air was
gone in the room,
zapped right out. There was no cursing, just a voice
that said, "Doggone it!" Memphis got No. 4 in another
stunner before a commercial break on the ESPN telecast
AGAIN, this was not a "stunner" at all. As soon as
Milwakee was drawn at six, it was obvious Memphis was
locked into #4.
Yes, I'm just bitter and grumpy, for obvious reasons.
If I, Joe Shmoe Celtic fan sitting on my couch in
Nebraska, could figure out the Celtics (and Memphis,
but who really gives a sh*#) were mathmatically doomed
as soon the Bucks popped up at #6, I'm sure the Celtic
brass could figure it out. It's just a shame that this
idiot for ESPN couldn't figure it out. At least it
gave me a lightning rod to complain about something
for a while.
