Hoping for Brandan Wright & Brewer at 3 or 4

OK, can we all discuss this stuff with the assumption that the posters
on this list, who are very intelligent, understand some basic salary cap
rules? I think it goes without saying that we all know you have to have
a salary attached to that pick to make a trade like that work. We also
all know we have a pretty attractive piece along those lines in Theo
Ratliff -- a large expiring contract for a guy whose one-year salary may
even be covered in large part by insurance.

Gee, maybe because it's a total straw man? Can't trade picks for
players, since we're over the cap and don't have a trade exemption.
The valid question is which combination of players and the pick might
get such a veteran.

Mind you I do agree that people throw out trading the pick as if it's
as easy as just wanting to do it and it's done.
