I've read the "trade a 3-5 pick for a vet/lower pick" in a lot of places. So if that 3-5 pick is gets some team Wright/Horford/Noah/the Chinese guy ; what veteran does that get you?

I just don't see that any of those guys is going to bring back a whole lot of help for the team. I also think it's a stretch to expect to pry either an All-Star or veteran PLUS a lower pick for any of those guys. If anyone thinks differently, I would sure like to know what they think we'd get for the 3-5 pick.

It all comes down to getting Oden or Durant. If we don't get a top 2 pick, the State Police might want to consider closing the Tobin and Zakim bridges.

ok, so let's say we do get the #3 pick. or even #4.
are there any concensus picks at those positions?

i would hope danny trades the pick to get a vet+ lower
pick, but if he thinks he can get an all-star at that
slot, i'd be perfectly happy with more first-rate
young talent, if for no other reason than it gives us
flexibility to trade for veteran help.

if he can trade the #3 for a solid starter (caron
butler/lamar odom level of talent) and another
rondo-type talent in the middle of the first round,
i'd be happy with that. of course, i'd be happier with
oden or durant. just trying to cover all my bases.
