clearly we disagree on whether or not Ainge needs to go --- likely rooted
in some divergence over his record. (I value guys like West, Perkins,
Allen, Mike James, even Ricky Davis more than you i guess).
That said, as the question was posed to me, who would you like to see
replace Ainge if he were to be gone as you hope for?
Not meant to sound picky -- just curious.

I walked through danny's drafts last week doing exactly this, and posted
it here. By my accounts, actually looking at the facts, he has two bad
drafts (marcus freakin banks and trading away the roy pick), one very good
draft (al jefferson), and one that can't be judged (gerald green).
How can people really think Ainge is this great drafting guru? Really, i
just don't get it.
Here is what we know about danny:
1. he has made bad management decisions with the biggest blunder being
the doc rivers fiasco but let's not leave out his reliance on the no brain
doctor.
2. He has made very bad free agent signings. Scalacrappi, Dickout, etc..
3. his trades have been crappy to marginal. Can you name one player on
the celtics roster who danny acquired in a trade who is actually any good?
No really, name one, and I won't accept szczerbiak since all anynoe wants
to do is deal him. He gave away the rookie of the year (granted it was a
low bar for rookies this year, but we gave Roy away. and i don't want to
hear about theo crapliff's expiring contract since we're not going to do
anything with it anyway). Plus he gave the Pistons Rasheed Wallace. ugh.
4. His drafting is average at best. Again, look at the actual picks.
This is mind boggling to me.
5. his PR spin is insulting. X's and O's don't matter. blah blah blah.
6. His entire regime comes down to a ping pong ball.
Danny must go.
