Beating "Marky Hustle" is always a highlight no matter what the situation.
Having him foul out was the icing on the cake. As for the game, third
straight where the Cs are making Goody's case for him (The Shooter McGavin
corrollary) and couldn't seem to throw the rock in the ocean except when it
counted late. Loved the rebounding stats (must be Blount again!) which
seemed to be born not just of no talent at the Wolves center position, but
also real hustle on both ends of the floor.

The kid's maturation has been astounding over this mini-streak. All four
games have been won late mostly due to one of the kids stepping up each time
instead of it being the Paul Pierce Show. Isn't that what we've all been
hoping for this entire time?  The dynamics are far reaching because they set
up a conundrum for fans, and no, I don't mean considering the pick versus
winning, but of the Doc Rivers future question.  NBA coaches don't go into
the last year of their contract. It doesn't happen often. Either the coach
is let go or extended. We've extended blame for Rivers in-game management -
and to my mind rightfully so, but at the same time how many other coaches
could've kept a team motivated to continue playing through an almost record
breaking streak?  We give blame, we have to give credit and it's gotta go to
someone in that staff - as much as it pains me. So this is another
interesting subplot to monitor as we close in on the end of another season.

 

Garnett is a heckuva player, but my God he never shuts his yap.  He probably
trash talks in his sleep.  I bet he and Ricky D. one up each other while
napping on the team charter.  **snore** "You couldn't guard a
statue"...**sniff, gargle**..."Statue? Is statue I just sailed past for a
dunk?"...**snore**

 

Well, it could be five come Wednesday. The Rockets win ugly and no one's
been winning uglier then the Cs lately. Should be a much better game then
when they met in Houston.
