First game thoughts....

Today was the first time I've gotten to watch the C's
all season. My living situation has been in limbo for
the past 6 months and my DirectTV service has been on
hold. This weekend, I moved into a new place and had
my DirectTV and league pass activated. So I'M BACK IN
THE GAME!
Anyway, I watched the second half and overtimes of the
Minnesota game. A few observations from a first time
viewer this season:
1. Scal started the second half, but was taken out and
replaced with Gomes after the first possession, less
than a minute into the half. It was almost like in
high school where you start the senior just because
he's a senior, but bring in the more talented
underclassmen right away. Scal didn't get back in unti
overtime. What's up with that whole charade? Just play
Gomes from the get-go!
2. Rondo played just a few minutes in the second half.
In his first 30 seconds on the court, he made a great
dish off penetration for a lay-up, harassed the Minni
point guard into turnover, then nailed a jumper. Of
course, Doc took him right back out shortly thereafter
and he languished on the bench for the remainder of
the game. WHY? Were Delonte's parents at the game or
something?
3. Big Al looks a lot thinner than he did last year.
And scores a lot more. Me likey.
4. I thought the officals could look at instant replay
to see if a shot was a three or not. Why wouldn't they
do that for Ricky's shot at such a crucial point in
the game?
5. Maybe this has been discussed on the board already,
but what are the chances Doc is back next season. I
mean, he IS going to get fired isn't he?
