To add to your thoughts on Durant, here's an impression of the Durant vs
Julian Wright, game. (Was able to watch that and the C's wins thanks to
TIVO).

The numbers were:
Durant: 32pts 9rbs 7ast
Wright: 17pts 13rbs 2ast

The comments are:
In the first half (20min) Durant did look like he'll have bigger
offensive upside than KG/Dirk. He had 25 pts, perfect from 3pt range.
He was hitting farther than NBA range 3's with ease, with 2 of the best
forwards in the nation all over him. He has surprisingly good touch
with short range J's and the Ryan Gomes type quick putbacks. It was an
unbelievable display of confidence.

He cooled off in the second half (with an ankle sprain that he played
through). His defensive hustle was o.k. His dribble drives weren't
that effective. He might have to eventually play PF in the NBA (like
what happened to Shareef/KG).

As for Julian Wright, he played hard on D but didn't have the lateral
quickness stay close enough to Durant. They put Brandon Rush (his older
brothers played some in the NBA and I think had draft workouts with the
C's) on Kevin, and he did a better job. Good awareness on help D, and
had the best court vision of either team on the offensive end. He's
really good making no look passes off of pickNrolls.

let me tell you, durant is for real. he's a great
kid, hard worker and will eventually be able to play
every position on the court--yes, even point
guard--and will become a top-notch defender in time
due to his length and desire.

i see his upside as north of
garnett (who i've admittedly always thought was a bit
overrated)
