i've seen durant a few times live and have seen most
of his games on tv. i've seen little of oden, but
trust mark berry's opinion and, all things considered,
would probably take him if we get the chance to, as
defense does win championships. 

but let me tell you, durant is for real. he's a great
kid, hard worker and will eventually be able to play
every position on the court--yes, even point
guard--and will become a top-notch defender in time
due to his length and desire. he's the real deal, and
i'd be thrilled to call him a celtic. 

sure, there are some holes in his game, but he's a
freshman who's been dominant in college. those guys
are very, very rare. i see his upside as north of
garnett (who i've admittedly always thought was a bit
overrated) because i think he already shoots and
passes better than him, and his absolute downside to
be bob macadoo, who was pretty damn good in his time. 

in any case, if we get a top two pick and can choose
between oden and durant, there's only one answer: the
celts are back!
