how we won the game

Basically the starters, West, Pierce, Scal, Perkins
and Big Al were in when the Knicks made their run.
Doc substituted for Delonte early (probably at the 6
minute mark of the 3rd, if memory serves correct) and
that did a little something to stem the tide back in
the C's favor (Delonte had a pretty crappy game--yet
Doc still stuck with him and gave him crunch time
minutes. When Rondo went back to the bench in the 4th
quarter with about 9 minutes left, there was a nice
shot of him sitting on the bench with a pretty
incredulous look on his face, like he couldn't believe
he was getting lifted. Doc said in the postgame that
while Rondo played great in the 1st half, he struggled
in the 2nd when the Knicks started laying off him. He
also said that while he knew Delonte was having a bad
game, he also thought that the Knicks would be forced
to respect his jumper and that that would open things
up for Big Al to operate, which it did. But to my
eyes, Rondo was playing great and did not deserve to
be pulled. Also, after pretty much saving the game
for the C's against the Rockets on Monday night (the
game turned around after Telfair was put into the game
with 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter and he did
it with his offensive and defensive hussle) Sebastian
got a DNP-CD last night. After all Doc's bullshit
about only playing those players who play with effort,
he rewards Bassy and Powe with a DNP-CD. Coming after
a game in which he helped the C's to a much-needed
victory, this would have been a great game to rebuild
Sebastian's season. Instead, Doc burries him on the
bench. Yet another example of Doc's incompetancy).
