It's not that Garnett hasn't won a championship - although that adds to the
argument. He hasn't even gotten his teams into the playoffs or past the
second round. So is he even a great player? A very good one? Or does
everyone believe that he's been saddled with the worst possible talent his
entire career dragging him down? (I don't - I think he's overrated).  I
think he's a second tier talent - like Pierce, who can do a lot of things,
but doesn't make others around him better.

This is my least favorite argument point in any sport. So-and-so isn't
really good because his team hasn't won. Kevin Garnett hasn't won a

championship, so he isn't a great player - Steve
