Sure. And we're going to start giving away money with every ticket. And
the hot dogs are going to be made from choice cut filet mignon and every
kid who comes to a game will get a pony.

I'll believe this team will pay Garnett, Pierce and
Marion/Lewis/Dalembert when I see it.

"Wild rumors" is right.

You know the worst part of this, if true (and it's not, of course)? The
statement that Pierce is right there with Kobe, Wade and LeBron. Wow. If
anyone with the Celtics believes that, then we're more screwed than I
thought. And I already thought we were really, really screwed.

"The recently exited Chris Wallace informed an old
coach of mine yesterday that the Celtics are presented
with two opportunities to pickup all star talent:

1. Al Jeff and the #5 for KG - This will only happen
with Minnesota if Wally is attached with other
contracts (Scal, maybe even Perk). I repeat Theo will
not be included with the Al Jeff and the 5 pick. And
Gerald will remain out of the deal as well.

2. The insurance protected expiring Theo - This will
be part of a sign and trade for Rashard, Marion (if
the price comes down), AK47, Dalembert or other all
stars from teams seeking cap relief. If you are
shocked to hear Dalembert in this group don't be.
Dalembert along side Garnett would be 14 feet of
madness in the paint. Good luck driving past
Pierce/Green only to hit Kevin and Samuel. They'd
average 8 blocks a game together.

Apparently, Danny has recently become protective of
Gerald Green, Rondo, and as always Delonte West. Danny
also believes that Ryan Gomes can become the 3 pt
shooting "power 3" that also has post up abilities
which could eventually become an all-star. You heard
me correctly Danny believes Gomes can become an all
star. In essence, Danny's increased respect for Gomes
has been a real reason why he has explored Al Jeff's
departure. 

Danny also has come to realize that Paul Pierce is in
the same echelon with Kobe, Wade, and even Lebron.
Place Paul Pierce with Shaq and he wins three titles
in LA or 1 in Miami. Place Paul with
Ilgauskus/Varejao/Sasha/Gooden and he wins the east
this year. Paul will not be traded because the Celtics
believe he can be paired with two all stars and win
the East next year.

My source also indicated that the Draft Night letdown
really changed this franchise forever... had the
Celtics gotten the 1/2 pick it would have been full on
rebuilding with Durant/Oden. When we slipped south of
the 3 pick it became clear that the focus shifted to
win now. That blew me away when I heard that... all of
us were sad we lost the 1/2 pick... but what we didn't
understand is that those ping pong balls determined
whether we rebuilt or went for it all.

My source also told me that the Celtics think the Cavs
have far too much salary congestion to remain atop the
East. They want to get a stronghold on the conference
before Danny Ferry loosens up Cleveland and places
real talent around Lebron.

I will keep you all posted on further discussions with
Wallace... he clearly is free'd up to  discuss the
Celtics now that he is a Grizzly Bear."
