I'm not disagreeing with you Mark, but for comparison's sake, both Moses
Malone and Dr. J we're playing 30 mpg through age 36, i think it's
reasonable to think that (a) KG has at least 5 more KG-like seasons in him
(b) He and Pierce would both recognize that they represent each other's
best teamate in their careers AND their last best hope for a ring (each
turn it up a notch).

I still don't know that i'd do an Al + #5 for KG deal, but it wouldn't
really be mortgaging everything, since what we'd be "left" with would be
pretty damn good (ECF at least IMO).

just playing devil's advocate here....i guess its a lot closer call IMO,
but (a) i lean towards keeping Jefferson and (b) i don't think KG's going
anywhere.

KG just averaged stats near his career best, 22+ points and almost 13
rebounds a gameto along with almost two blocked shots. He's a hall of
fame type player. You get thoseguys when you get the chance....the deal
may need some tweaking, and it would be niceto keep something back, but
I'm really surprised at how down on this deal everybody is.I'd rather
