I seem to remember reports that Rodney Rogers turned down more money from
the C's to sign with his friend Jason Kidd in NJ.  I don't doubt that
Phoenix knew Rogers was going to follow Kidd to NJ and conned Wallace out of
something from nothing.

That following year Rogers showed up in NJ overweight and out of shape.  I
doubt he would have helped a young team like the C's they way he filled in
for NJ towards the end of the year.
