Revisionist History

Those who are ignorant of history should have the humility to
doublecheck the facts before calling the rest of us idiots.

In other words, you didn't even watch the games. Are you going to
seriously tell us that "the referees saved Paul" but that all the
Nets free throws (and they shot more than Boston) were "earned"? This
would confirm my long-held belief that the loudmouths that post
drivel like this spent the 2002 ECF cheering for the Nets. I guess
this is the real tragedy of the Thanks Dad years, he turned Celtics
fans into losers. Wyc has multiplied the problem by a thousand. Let
me guess, you were pissed off that the 2002 Celtics didn't tank the
season for a shot at Yao?

Oh yeah, Kenyon Martin was "TEH DOMINATERZ" I mean, he simply
overpowered Walker, averaging 14.3 p/g and 5.1 r/g on an aFG% of .359
and .849 PP/FGA. I mean that's Olajuwonesque dominance right there,
that is. Walker, meanwhile, averaged a paltry 22.5/9.8 on an aFG% .
439 and .943 PP/FGA. Truly, Martin dominated him to a degree never
seen in NBA history.

This is the only correct statement in your revisionist history.

Really? You're seriously claiming that the entire NBA scored at will
on the 7th best defensive squad in the league? Boy, the other 22
teams must have *really* sucked defensively, eh? And the slight drop-
off in offensive efficiency had zero to do with their replacement of
Kenny Anderson with J.R. fucking Bremer? Nothing to do with their
replacement of Rodney Rogers with Ginny Baker, who spent most of the
year in rehab? I mean, really? Revisionist history indeed. And a
pathetic one, at that.

"I have never been comfortable with people comparing politicians to
whores. After all, whores are hard working, rarely think that they're
better than you, never call the cops on you, and never force you to
hire their cousin Bernie. All in all I think the world might be a
better place if politicians were more like whores."
