KG Trade -- possibilities

It'd be much better if the only picks we give back are MIN's future #1 and
POR's #2 next season.  Danny's done a pretty good job (LA/Payton deal,
MIN/Ricky deal, CLE/Jiri deal) in keeping/getting #1 picks.... so it's not
out of the realm of poss. that we only send back the MIN #1/

the other odd thing is that this deal only put's MIN $3M or so under the
cap next season --- caproom that will be taken up by a couple picks
(though tthy owe LAC a #1).

It would be very difficult, but i wish we could get Juwan Howard along
with KG --- that would free up some cap room for MIN.

Steve, please explain? Why are we automatically giving picks?
Minnesota, if they make the deal, will get very young, and may not
want to go on an extended youth movement.

If we give 4 players for 1, and future picks, this will be like when
Dallas traded Herschel Walker to the Vikes for most of their draft
picks. Danny should be taken over the coals for that kind of lopsided
deal. If it works out that he gets KG plus some picks, then it's a
different story.  A lot will depend on the details with this
potential trade.
