Welcome to the K & G Superstore

KG-Pierce-Allen are older than the original Big Three were when their
title-winning days were over. Remember those days? Then Larry and Kevin
started breaking down, we were good enough to be a second-round out and
we haven't been a legitimate title contender since.

Those teams had no bench, but this team's bench is even worse. Those
teams had Reggie in the pipeline. This team has no one like that. Those
teams had players who had played together, and supporting players like
DJ and Ainge (and Pinkney and Kleine). This team has no one at that
level.

We've traded our way to the 1990 Celtics -- if we're lucky.

Mark

I think this is a great move for the C's. There will be other players
who
will want to join these 3 for a shot at a ring, as in the day of the Big
Three, so expect some actual FA's that can contribute this/next year.
Wyc
said they were coming in to win it all, so I wouldn't worry to much
about
the money for the right guys to round out this roster.

I have been an Al fan all along, but KG is a HOF player who brings both
ends
of the court every game. Even Doc could win with these guys, though
Carlisle would be the guy I'd put a call into before opening camp.

Oh, as long as it IS Telfair, and not Rondo, having a core of Pierce,
Ray
Allen, and KG, with Perkins, Gomes, and (hopefully) Tony Allen providing
depth, and Rondo at the point cannot but make one happy.
