I too would do this realistically we'd probably have to send them:

Scal, Telfair, Gomes and a pick (maybe a 2nd instead of a #1)

This is because after adding the $8.5 Mil of Haywood ($5M) and signing
Navarro ($3.5M is what he's loooking for), resigning Gomes would push us
over the luxury tax next season (assuming a Dwight Howard-like extension
for Al).

I don't know how i feel about it in that case....

Though if we could get Gomes and Jefferson to resign for $4.5M and $12M
(instead of $5.5 and $13M) respectively and didn't pick up the 2nd year of
either Wallace or Pruit, we could keep Gomes.

(the other) mark

----------------------
I would do this in a heartbeat. Navarro could be a steal and time is
running out. This would give us depth at the 1 & 5 spots

I wonder if we are one of the eight teams that have contacted the Wiz:

If indeed there is a deadline of the end of this week. Navarro would
fit in great on this team especially if we could get him in a package
with Brendan Haywood.

Why not an offer of Scalabrine, Telfair and picks (minny's #1?) for
Haywood and the rights to Navarro? Works under the cap.

I remember how upsetting it was when Brian Shaw jumped to Il Messaggero
Roma after a promising rookie year.

Somehow, I'm not quite as upset about this.
