For me, the entire argument isn't "all-star" - it's production and age. The
all-star game is a popularity contest with limited spots and restrictions.
Production and age are verifiable measurements.
 
At Al's age and with his production the piece coming back needs to be of
very high value because most likely that piece is advancing in age (the
Garnett angle) and will place you squarely in a "must win now at all costs"
mind set. Doesn't mean I wouldn't pull the trigger, but at the same time
would expect due diligence in examining the fact that you're losing a 17/10
guy who has at the very least ten more productive years.
 
All-star is a useless label and should be treated as such.

Did anyone see the article with Doc's comments in regards to trade talk that
Celtic Nation was acting as if Al was a 5 time all-star?
