I didn't realize the Griz had waived Johnson; I
thought I'd read recently that they were pretty high
on him. He was highly touted coming out of Florida
State, I believe. Can't imagine there's any room for
yet another young big man project with Wallace and
Davis, but I'd give this guy a look based on what I've
read.

anyone have thoughts about any of these young bigs?
Alexander Johnson --- started 19 games when Gasol was
hurt, avg 7
pts, 6 reb in 20 mins. Recently waived by MEM and
exactly 10 years
to the day older than i am. I seem to remember him
being an acitive
big.
Brandon Bass ---- looked good in SL for DAL and for NO
last year in
sporadic duty. Looks bigger than the 6-9 he's listed
at.
Sheldon Williams --- anyone know if he's sitll in the
Hawks' plans
with Al Horford, Marvin Williams, etc.? I'd trade a
lottery
protected 1st and Scal for him -- but i doubt that'd
be enough.
I'm nervous about going into the season wiht just
Jefferson, Perkins,
Powe and Glen Davis. (plus Gomes and Scal who are more
3s at this
point). Any other thoughts on big men still out there
that could be
had via Trade or Free agency?
I wouldn't mind a guy like Adonal Foyle, Etan Thomas
or Brendan
Haywood at about 1/2 of what they're making now
(though i guess so
would the whole NBA). Heck even the Theo Ratliff of
2-3 years ago
(c'mon...healing powers of a contract year!)
