cheap reference

The official measurements came from the Orlando combine. I accept them, plus agree that a true 6' 8" looks right. Otherwise, he might look fat.

The optimists expected a real breakout last season, with the maturing of several of the youths. Alas, they was injured along with Paul and Wally. Give us a relatively healthy squad this year, and with the addition of Allen & Davis, a decent vet at pg, and we'll be back on track--say, 46 or so wins minimum. We're also the conservatives, in that we hesitate to swap a developing star (Al) for a older, proven star (Garnett). Short term fixes bother us conservatives. We are more content with evolution than revolution. Now, where's my McCain button? Gene

Why is that a cheap shot? After all, where did that "official"
measurement come from ... his agent or Ubi? Have you eyeballed
his height standing next to Powe?

No doubt we are all probably making too much of his height.
My opposition to drafting him was simply because we already
had undersized power forwards in Gomes and Powe and really
needed more size up front. However, I really hope we don't
fill this need by... ugh... re-signing Kandiman for a third season,
as per your suggestion. That would finally drive me to the window
ala madman Peter Finch, and shout:
I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!

Honestly, Gene, it amazes me how the so-called "real Celt
fans" (the optimists) are willing to remain sooooo patient
and settle for soooo little as year goes into year goes
into year. You would think after many years of predicting
45-55 victories in the Snoopy Poll they would become a bit
more cautious. Their agenda is as much of an agenda as
the so-called pessimists, n'est ce pas? The only difference
is that their comments aren't referred to as cheap shots.

Yin yang, yin yang. All part of the tapestry of an interesting
Celt forum.
