Doc is still coaching.
Ainge is still the GM.
Wyc et al are still the owners.
So here you go, your 2007 Boston Celtics starting line-up through the first
ten games:
Game #1
Jefferson - C
Gomes - PF
Pierce - SF
Allen - SG
Rondo - PG
"Gomes has really shown me a lot back at the 4, which is where he really
proved he belonged in the NBA his first year. Sure, we'll give up height,
but his outside shooting will really open it up for Al underneath. - Doc
Rivers
Game#2
Perkins - C
Jefferson - PF
Scalabrine - SF
Pierce - SG
Allen - PG
"Brian is the glue of this team. He's our hardest worker and frankly, sets
the tone of this team." - Danny Ainge
Game#3
Powe - C
Pierce - PF
Allen - SF
Telfair - SG
Rondo - PG
"Leon has the heart of a lion. We got outquicked last night so tonight we're
going to go a little smaller to counteract that." - Doc Rivers
Game#4
Perkins - C
Wallace - PF
Allen - SF
Pierce - SG
Telfair - PG
"That game two nights ago was tough huh? I think Curry was just on last
night...you know he sometimes just gets into the zone where everything he
throws up goes in. Weak-side shotblocking has been a concern so we're going
to adjust to that and see what happens." - Ainge
Game#5
Jefferson - C
Scalabrine - PF
Pierce - SF
Allen - SG
T. Allen - PG
"It's great to have Tony back, he really gives an energy we don't normally
have. We're going to get him out at the point tonight for his defense and
have Paul bring the ball up so we can get into our sets pretty quickly."
Game#6
Wallace - C
Jefferson - PF
Pierce - SF
Allen - SG
Rondo - PG
"The college center experience Wallace brings is something we really didn't
have last year. His shotblocking will really change our defensive dynamic
and allow Paul and Ray to challenge their man outside." Doc Rivers
Game#7
Jefferson - C
Wallace - PF
Pierce - SF
Allen - SG
Rondo - PG
"Tough loss last night. Just one of those games where you can score at will,
but it's the last team with the ball type situation you know? I can't
believe the game Shaq had - he looked like the old Shaq - dunking over
everyone, having his way in the paint - it was pretty spectacular for NBA
fans." - Doc Rivers
Game#8
Jefferson - C
Pierce - PF
Gomes - SF
Allen - SG
Pruitt - PG
"Given our matchups we're going to go small tonight and really push the
tempo. Al wasn't getting enough touches so this will help us spread the
floor for him with more shooters to really allow him to operate underneath."
- Doc Rivers
Game#9
Perkins - C
Jefferson - PF
R. Allen - SF
T. Allen - SG
Rondo - PG
"Pierce is day-to-day after Monday's loss which means we'll shift Tony into
the lineup so we can get the defensive energy. I thought Perk was huge in
his limited minutes Monday too, so we're going to exploit that tonight." -
Ainge
Game#10
Jefferson - C
Gomes - PF
Pierce - SF
Allen - SG
Rondo - PG
"I really thought this lineup was our best defensively and given our recent
trouble with the high pick and roll we're going to get real aggressive and
take them out of their gameplan early." Doc Rivers
And so on, and so on. Doc Rivers - the best coach ever in making
adjustments based on the last team we played for the next team we play.
Also, an underrated guy at making sure everyone plays - a nice trait to have
(if you coach junior high). As to why I didn't put any other names on this
list - perhaps because they're playing for other teams. If we sign someone
else I reserve the right to adjust accordingly.
This isn't official, but I predict we lead the league for the fourth
straight year in most "less then 5 point" losses.
