Watching FSNE tonight and an interview with Mike Gorman relative
to our needs for a PG and a Big. Mike was asked if he thought Telfair
would ever be a star PG in the NBA. Gorman said absolutely not. He
then sheepishly added that Telfair remains #2 back-up to Rondo on the
Celtic's roster. When pressed further Mike explained why Telfair
would never become an NBA success story. Mike said that Telfair has
always been a "shoot-first" PG and apparently is not interested in
ever changing.

The "bombshell" question came later in discussing Bigs that the
Celtic's have interest in. Camby was mentioned and there is interest
as well as concern about the steep asking price for a player that has
historically never played more than 60 games/year and that he is an
injury-prone player (no surprise in these comments).

When Mike was informed that Darko had been released and whether the
Celtic's had any interest...Mike looked like the "cat had been let
out of the bag"...meaning that the Celtic's have a very strong
interest in Darko. Based on Mike's endorsement of Darko's talents it
seemed like he was justifying the Celtic's interest. In fact when
asked directly if the Celtic's had a real interest in Darko Mike
responded..."yes, I think the Celtic's are interested in Darko..
(pause)..in fact I KNOW THAT THEY HAVE INTEREST...in fact there is
more truth to this rumor than there was to the Joe Smith rumor"...
