Subject: Who Cares If Pierce Was Offered For The First Pick
Even if Devastating Danny Ainge offered Pierce
and the fifth pick to Portland for the Number
One Pick and next year's first, who cares?
It was the usual Wyc-Ainge half-assed effort,
that was doomed to failure from the start.
If you are trying to overwhelm the Blazers into
giving up the most valuable draft choice
to come down the pike since the Cavs drafted Lebron,
you don't ask for their future first round choice.
And further more, if you are trying to acquire Durant
or Oden, you have to knock that team for a loop with a
trade package so audacious, that they simply can't
refuse.
Pierce, Jefferson, and the fifth pick should have
been Ainge's offer and then rebuild the Celtics around
Oden or Durant.
