Who Cares If Pierce Was Offered For The First Pick

It's not just Ainge. It starts with Wyc and flows right on down. Ainge
was on the right track, but in the past year he got impatient and he
hasn't made a smart move since. We're just lucky that our team right now
isn't Paul Pierce, Allen Iverson and a bunch of bench players. Philly
saved us from ourselves or else Jefferson would be a Sixer and we'd all
be wondering what the hell happened.
Wyc is allowing all this. He has the Pierce jersey hanging in his office
and is pushing this "win it with Paul" philosophy. Wyc, Ainge, Doc ...
they're all delusional and desperate and you put those things together
and you get bad decisions. We can fire Ainge and Doc (hopefully), but we
can't fire the owner.

amusing responses y'all... but i hope no one on this list thinks that
POR
was ever trading the #1 pick...
Danny could have offered Pierce, Jefferson, Rondo and 3#1 picks... Oden
was going to POR.
i'm bummed so many are down on Ainge, but can see (even if i don't
totally
agree) why.

No, he would have traded it for a 31-year-old combo guard coming off
knee surgery.

actually, ainge probably would have acquired the #1 pick and then traded
it down for 4 picks in the 20s to draft "value."
