I'm wondering why Danny wasn't camped out on anyone's door at midnight
Saturday night - I fear that Egg has it exactly right when she blames the
owners' parsimoniousness.  Damn this luxury tax.  I don't begrudge the
players or owners their fair share of a popular product, but I sure do
miss the days when trades were made solely for basketball-related reasons.

Michael -- i think you posed a valid question to Gary so i'll pose a
similar one to you:

armed with only the MLE -- or poss. a $8-9M salary slot IF (and this is a
big if) we can package Scal, Telfair and a future pick --- who would you
have liked to see Ainge on their front door step?

I haven't looked too much at the FA list -- but a guy i was pushing hard
for 2 years ago at the $1M exception -- Mikki Moore -- is looking to get
the MLE and I'm guessing some team overpays.

One guy i wouldn't mind adding back -- though he too is saying he wants
the MLE -- is Chris Mihm (didn't we give him a nickname back when he was
in green?)

Also, be aware that an MLE signing this year might make it harder to match
an offer that Tony Allen gets next summer... not that that's the reason
not to spend the MLE, but i'd almost rather add a BIg and PG via trade
(Lue + Sheldon Williams for Scal/Telfair/next year's #1 is my current
desire) and wait to see if T-Al returns to his former self(s).
