Oden would. Durant would help them tremendously also, but Oden
completely changes the franchise.

And remember ... we'll also be adding Paul Pierce to the mix. If we get
Oden, we're on our way. I know this is borderline blasphemous, but the
kid is the second coming of Bill Russell. He's that good.

  That was the San Antonio Spurs record in the 1996-1997 season.  They
added Duncan in the draft and went 56-26 in 1997-1998.  However, in the
1995-1996 season they also went 56-26 and had been the best in the west.
   
  So, the Spurs were already a good team that had some bad luck with
injuries and some good luck in the draft.  Tim Duncan ended up going to
a pretty good team.
   
  Which brings us to the Celtics. Are they a pretty good team?  Not by a
long shot.
   
  Is Oden or Durant or Noah going to all of a sudden going to add 25
wins to this team.  
   
  Unlikely.
