Michael, Jim, Kim ----

As the resident (only?) Chargers fan on this list -- keep in mind that the
Pats had really no right even being in the AFC championship game. If not
for the Headbutts, fumbled interceptions, dropped interceptions,
challenged plays that were obvs., etc. by the Chargers the week before
Indy would have been losign in San Diego on Sunday :)

I didn't watch the whole NE/IND game, but it sounds like the Pats fell
victim to a lot of the same mental errors/fluke mistaeks that doomed the
Chargers. So keep that in mind before wringing your hands too much.

No question, but they're exceptions rather than the rule. It does
happen, but that doesn't mean you want to rely on it happening.

He didn't cost them the game tho. As well say that Ellis Hobbs did
with the too many men in the huddle penalty on the next to last Pats
possession when all they needed was one first down to keep the Colts
from ever seeing the ball again. Or one of a bunch of other mistakes.
The cliche is actually correct here - they lost because the Colts
made more plays and made fewer mistakes. Fun game tho.
