Who are you planning to cut? because we have to cut to clear roster
spots before we can do that. And of course that means we may not get
them back after.... Allan Ray getting cut won't break my heart, but
are we really going to get anyone who does much more for us on a 10
day? Tony's injury is season ending, so there's a slight chance we
might get league relief if we apply, but I wouldn't count on it.

He's another decidedly undersized big guy from what I saw at the open
practice. I remember because it was such a surprise from what I'd
been hearing about him here and other boards and for cripes sake,
this was against OUR guys, vs another team's legit 7 footers on
parade. And yes, when I just checked, even the Clemson site only
credits him with 6'9" and it's at the point now where you almost
automatically cut a few inches off listed height. Probably a lot to
do with why he was available in the first place. Very active but very
raw and short. We've got that already with Powe who I'm much more
confident will at least fight effectively on the boards vs possibly
just expending a lot of energy trying. It got lost in the loss and
all the talk of Tony, but Powe coming in and **fiercely** going after
the boards in a short stint (and after some decidedly soft rebounding
by Jefferson, who also seems to have received Mark Blount's hands for
Christmas) clearly gave us the energy we needed to make that run that
cut the lead from teens down to 4 after the team deflated completely
with Tony going down.
