I disagree. I don't know much about the college ball/draft, but if it
had to
happen, it sounds  like the perfect season to have this happen to the
Celtics. 
It may help us move out of the dreaded mediocre category, something the
owners/management clearly were not going to do willingly. 

The injury sucks for Tony, but 1) he may have kept the team too
competitive, and
2) I'm not sure his head problems/type of game would ever allow to him
flourish
for long.  
Guys like Pierce and Wally can be effective without overwhelming speed
and
leaping ability. That's not the case for Tony, as we saw earlier this
year.
