No news is good news?

I absolutely disagree. I want Pierce back as soon as possible, I want to win the Atlantic (whatever that takes) and I want to advance pass the first round of the playoffs, which I think is a reachable goal.

The Celtics aren't going to be picking in the top three unless something momentous happens and I don't think the difference between picking 8th or 16th isn't enough to make me want to tank the season.

Call me a dreamer, but with Big Al and Tony Allen emerging, Delonte back in the lineup and Perk getting healthy, I think the Cs will be pretty good in the second half. I'd be much happier seeing them have some success to build from, rather than spiraling further into the basement.

Now if I can just talk Doc into giving more of Wally's minutes to Gerald ...
