No news is good news?

Oh, I agree on that part. I'm in no rush. This might rub some the wrong
way, but I'm hoping they don't win the Atlantic. All that does is give
Wyc and Co. a few bucks from playoff tickets and cost us 8 spots or more
in the draft -- and those are very important spots. No, I think winning
the Atlantic would be the worst thing we could do.

Steve was right when he said the initial release was "at least 2-3
weeks.
 
As for me, I'm in no hurry to rush Paul back.  This team is going
nowhere this year and there are some players getting valuable
experience.  Given the weak Atlantic, the Cs might sneak into the
playoffs and lose out in the first round, but so what?  And it might be
a luxury to allow a player to take the time to heal thoroughly for a
change.
 
Would they have won some of these games without him?  Most likely.
Amazingly, though, I'm not sure that it matters.

Anyone have the latest on Pierce's return to duty?  I haven't had access
to
any papers or anything for a week or so and have no idea the expected

of Pierce.  Are we still a ways out?  Days? Weeks?  Despite some
documented
differences of opinion on playing style he still would have meant the
difference in winning and losing over this past ten game stretch to this
Celtics team.
