25. Boston Celtics (12-21, Last ranking: 28) Wally Szczerbiak is back in the starting lineup, but his rhythm is still off. He's had only one good shooting game in his last five outings: a 9-for-14 effort against Memphis. In the other four games, he was a combined 17-for-54.
Why is his rhythm still off? Is it the injury or is he incompatible with this team? Jefferson was injured earlier in the season and then had his appendix removed, but he got back into it pretty quickly. Delonte has come back fast from several injuries including injuring his back on the trip out west.
Wally is simply too slow and too poor a defender to make a mark on the Celtics. Although he has good, fundamental instincts they get compromised by his "me first" attitude. His jacking it up of late is fast approaching Walkerian.
It is not surprising that Doc won't treat Wally like the other players and sit his ass until he gets with the program. Doc is probably afraid that Wally, pro that he is, will yell at him during a game again.
