Orlando game observations

Just got back from teh Orlando-Boston game. The Celt's played from
behind just about the whole game, but to their credit didn't give up.
I guess Gomes was sick, so we were even more shorthanded. A few
observations:

-- WALLY HAS GOT TO GO. I'm sorry, I'm just sick of watching him
shoot us out of games. Maybe he's hurting, maybe .... who knows.
But if he know's he's struggling this bad and KEEPS shooting bad
shots, making out of control drives into the lane then his ego
doesn't fit into this team.

Worse, he's playing NO defense whatsoever. None. And I fear some of
the guys are tiring of his play on both ends --- esp. if it's taking
mins from Green. I was saying when we traded for him that I was
always suspect of his personality/persona --- kinda irritating
rah-rah w/o eitehr (a) backing it up (a la a guy like Pierce or
Jefferson), or (b) having no chance of bakcing it up and therefore
being a "glue" guy (like Scal or Waltah (when used correctly)).

If he's not moved at the deadline to a team like Utah, Dallas or San
Antonio for a pick and a player, he better be moved out this summer.
My sanity depends on it.

-- Perkins played GREAT defense on Dwight Howard. He was in foul
trouble most of the night due to some "creative" (read: HORRIBLE)
officiating, but he kept battling Howard. He had 3 blocks which
should have been 4 on a phantom foul call. (though to be fair the
refs botched about 4 plays in teh C's favor in the 4th).

-- Loved seeing Delonte West getting in Jefferson's grill during a
timeout telling him he's got to get position on a guy like Battie.
He's a leader, a gamer, the funniest Celtic in ages.

-- 7 steals for Tony Allen! He was so active again tonight, he's got
one speed -- GO. I love it. Made some boneheaded turnovers but I'll
take those if its the price for his passion/drive.

I hated losing this one --- esp. b/c of all the screaming I did
throughout the game --- but the silver lining is we lost to pretty
good Orlando team by only 8 points without one Mr. Paul Pierce. This
group is REALLY coming together. They don't give up (maybe they just
don't know any better), they play as a team, they hustle. As Tommy
would say "good stuff!". Get rid of Wally, get Pierce, Perkins and
West healty and we're rollin!
