morale dilemma

I think what you have is more a morale issue than a moral one.  If such a trade sends you into a downward spiral of confusion and despair where you question your very raison d'etre, then you will end up reading Camus and Sartre, maybe even Eric Albert.  I question whether winning is worth all that.
