No. NBA no longer has an IR. You can have 3 players inactive each 
game, and are able to change them from game to game. Theo is already 
a regular on that list.. We CAN petition the league for roster relief 
to let us sign someone else, but that's hardly guaranteed.

Salary cap is based on the salaries we're paying not on what the 
players are doing for us (cf Vin Baker) And we're still paying him. 
Sure, the owners may get insurance money but so what? Might make them 
look more kindly on going into luxury tax territory on a deal and 
that's about it.
