< I find it interesting how Doc cited defensive reasons
for demoting Telfair, yet Danny comes around and picks
up on the offensive things that Sebastian needs to
work on. Interesting. > - Ubi
Isn't it possible that Danny and Doc are both correct in
their critique of Telfair?
< The same difference of opinion, or long term vs. short
term perspective, applies to some of the recent quotes
by Danny and Doc regarding G. Green. Danny thinks
he's right on schedule, or a little ahead, while Doc
thinks he hasn't been playing very well recently. > - Ubi
Who knows what our BT originally expected Gerald's schedule
to be? I was told it was 3-5 years, which is why I questioned
using a valuable draft pick, roster spot, and cap money
on such a young might-be. The best case scenario is, if after
nursing him along for several seasons, Gerald turns out to
be terrific and we'll have to fork over big bucks to compete
for his continued services. The worst case scenario -
well I don't want to even contemplate the waste of it all.
Is Gerald AHEAD, EQUAL TO, or BEHIND expectations? Danny
chose to use the "equal to" as a compliment. As for Doc's
comment, while additional minutes have propelled Gerald
into a fun to watch, more aggressive and effective shooter,
where is the visible improvement in the rest of his game?
He still appears to be a stranger in a strange land. So while
he has made a bit of progress in his second season, he is
still far far away from being an overall asset on the court.
< A little good cop bad cop action for the dynamic duo of
Danny and Doc? Who knows, but I always end up agreeing
with what Danny says...> - Ubi
Seriously, why?
