Danny's commentating

I can't recite very much, but a few comments that I do recall: I paraphrase,
of course.
He didn't sound too bummed about the trip. At least, he said, the kids
haven't stopped competing. Early in the half, he said that he hoped they'd win
because the kids deserved it for the work they'd been doing.
(Telfair pulls up for a jumper c. 10-12 feet out) "He has to feel confident
of making that shot. He can make it and we need him to take it and make it."
On Scalabrine: "I wish that all these kids out there had the understanding
of the (defensive?) system we're trying to use that Scal does."
On Perkins, when he went down with the ankle: "He was sort of hobbling up
the floor on the prior play. He's just not right."
On Gomes passing (or maybe shooting from c. 15' out) He needs to get more
aggressive sometimes and go for the basket. (Gomes did so a while later, and
Danny gave him a thumbs up for it.)
On Delonte: "I told him not to play, Doc told him not to play, but he
showed up and said "I'm playing." [ed. You mean, you and Doc couldn't prevent
him from playing due to his injury? Like by not putting him in the game? Oh
well, the win was important.]
He was generally enthused about Al in just about every way, even giving him
praise for his work in the Clipper game. I saw that game and will concede that
Al gets a C- for his work, beating the others, who all got Ds. Dickerson
asked if Al can play center, to which Ainge replied, very quickly, that he can
play 4 and 5.
Sorry - I erased the Tivo when the game ended. Need the room for reruns,
y'know?
