Well, that's what I remember. Thanks for giving the entire context. I do feel some remorse for calling someone, anyone, an idiot. We all have our idiot moments. I remember predicting a certain war wouldn't turn out well, so what do I know. Happy New Year

You already have. The comments you're objecting to were Rodman's, not
Thomas's. Thomas ironically echoed Rodman to make a point about
American racial perceptions (which I think he was wrong about), but
he prefaced his ironic echo by calling Bird a great player. Rodman
called Bird overrated, Thomas said that if Bird were black he'd be
just another good player (after he'd already called him a great one)
because he felt that African-American players got a short shrift by
the American public and by the media. Given that Steve Nash got the
MVP over Kobe Bryant (who carried a much worse team to nearly as many
wins and into the playoffs), LeBron James (who carried a worse team
to a better record), or Dirk Nowitzki (who carried an equivalent team
to a *much* better record and further in the postseason), he might
have a partial point (though I don't think the situation was as bad
as he made it out to be).

whores. After all, whores are hard working, rarely think that they're
better than you, never call the cops on you, and never force you to
hire their cousin Bernie. All in all I think the world might be a
better place if politicians were more like whores."
