It was Telfair, Allen, Gomes, Pierce and Jefferson for the first 3 of the streak. Scal subbed for Gomes for the last two. I looked it up. That was a small ball group, essentially. Gene

Didn't Scalabrine start during the immortal 5-game winning streak?
Gene, you're one of us optimists. Yeah, this could be a "pretty good" team
with Pierce, and right now, "pretty good" sounds outstanding to me!

I was encouraged by the lineup that started vs. the Clips: Rondo, West,
Scal, Gomes, and Jefferson. I have watched three quarters of that game and
feel that Rondo simply must be our starter at point for the "stretch" drive this
Spring, but certainly for next year. Exchange Pierce for Scal and we have a
good, working lineup. Gomes and West for spot up shooting, and Al for the
inside game. What is weaker, perhaps, is big man rebounding and three-point
shooting. We would be better if Perk and Green could join Al, Paul, and
Rajon. But they're not every game reliable now. It's a pretty good team, I
think, and could be very good with the #1 or #2 pick. Gene
